We are excited to announce that KBIC will host a “KBIC Session” at RESI JPM 2026, organized by our parter Life Science Nation (LSN).

During KBIC Session, three finalists from Kansai Life Science Accelerator Program (KLSAP) 2026 - a program operated by KBIC and City of Kobe to support startups expanding into the U.S. – will be showcased. In addition, around five to six outstanding startups with cutting edge technologies from KBIC network will pitch to investors and potential strategic partners who are present at RESI JPM 2026. KBIC will also introduce an overview of Kobe Biomedical Innovation Cluster (KBIC), a leading and oldest biomedical cluster in Japan and its life science ecosystem to the global audience.

KLSAP2025 Finalists	Overview
iXgene	Developing genome editing and iPS cell–based therapies for difficult-to-treat diseases. Using its proprietary CRISPR-enabled platform, it targets conditions such as malignant brain tumors and brain injury, collaborating with academia and industry to advance next-generation regenerative and gene therapies for central nervous system disorders.
GeneMedicine	Develops oncolytic viruses that selectively kill cancer cells and stimulate anti-tumor immunity. Its platform enhances tumor targeting and systemic delivery, while the company also expands into CDMO services and novel drug-delivery systems.
C-Biomex	Abio-venture developing novel theragnostic using its proprietary CUS™ peptide discovery platform. The platform identifies highly stable and specific peptides, supporting radiopharmaceutical development at the interface of diagnostics and therapeutics for global biomedical applications.

【About Kansai Life Sciences Accelerator Program (KLSAP)】

Kansai Life Science Accelerator Program (KLSAP) was launched in 2020 by KBIC and City of Kobe, in collaboration with corporations, universities, and US accelerators with the goal of nurturing and supporting entrepreneurs and executives in the life sciences sector and contributing to Japan’s startup ecosystem.
