Overview

Established in 1967 as Japan’s first professional congress organizer, Japan Convention Services, Inc. (JCS) has 50 years of experience in providing full-service management for various healthcare and medical sciences related conferences and events, including the General Assembly of the Japan Medical Congress. JCS’s previous experiences also include the planning and operations of the public exhibition at the “29th General Assembly of the Japan Medical Congress 2015 Kansai,” the operational management of “International Port Conference Commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the Opening of the Port of Kobe” and celebratory events, and operational assistance for “OCEANS'18 MTS/IEEE Kobe/Techno-Ocean 2018,” amongst many others. As a pioneer in the conference and convention industry, JCS strives to continue providing an extensive range of highest quality services tailored to client needs, from interpretation and translation services in healthcare and medical sciences to audio-visual equipment services, and the facility operations and management of Kobe International Conference Center.

KANAE was founded in 1956 as a business that processes and sells flexible packaging materials. Since then, we have expanded our business throughout the world, and nowadays widely offer optimal packaging solutions to almost 700 valued customers in the pharmaceutical, medical, cosmetics and food industries, by utilizing rich experience, know-how, and R&D capabilities.

Overview

・The Integrated Research Center of Kobe University promotes advanced interdisciplinary research programs and has roles to develop integrated and most advanced researches in collaboration with other universities, research institutions, and industries.
・Kobe University will use the industry-government-university collaborations established on Port-Island as driving force in creating innovation with its integrated and most advanced research.
・In April 2014, the Education Center on Computational Science and Engineering was established within the Integrated Research Center, to further focus on human resources development, both within and outside the university.
・From April 2016, the Integrated Research Center became the research base of the Organization for Advanced and Integrated Research in the Port Island area, aiming to further promote advanced research and integrated study both arts and sciences.

Integrated biofoundry

Overview

Utilizing biotechnology (genome editing technology, DNA synthesis technology, etc.) and digital technology (IT and AI), we can design microorganisms to produce new substances (Design), create the designed microorganisms (Build), select excellent microorganisms from among the created microorganisms (Test), and analyze the measured data from the constructed microorganisms (Learn). The DBTL flow is rotated at a high speed to enhance functions and add new functions to microorganisms, including the integrated analysis of measured data (Learn). We can efficiently produce various substances such as pharmaceutical raw materials, fuels, plastics, food additives, and cosmetic raw materials.
